Adult Friends is a group of macabre obsessed youth. Despite coming from differing backgrounds, the gang of four clash with an abrasive sound which defies the standards of New Zealand post-punk. Emerging from the Wellington scene of myriad identities, Adult Friends work relentlessly to carve their own.

The name Adult Friends is inspired by long-time inspiration, XIU XIU. Other influences include The Cure, Sonic Youth, Placebo, My Bloody Valentine and Interpol.
